Choose Well In Lambeth

NHS South East London is launching a very important campaign across South East London to help residents choose the right place to go when they are ill. This work has been done in response to the high numbers of people who are attending A&E services with minor ailments and injuries.

In Lambeth, inappropriate use of A&E is costing tax payers around £1million a year, money that could be spent improving other healthcare services. It is extremely important that we work together to reduce these numbers and do as much as we can to educate and inform our patients and local residents on the options available to them when they are ill.

The campaign focuses on three main groups who often attend A&E including worried parents, people with long term conditions and the elderly.

The campaign uses a colour code system to illustrate the range of services available. Posters, leaflets and other advertising are appearing across the borough throughout December. Visit www.selondon.nhs.uk/lambeth for more information.
